It's been busy here at 4th Trimester Baby...lots of "follow-ups"! I love when I get to see families more than once, and really follow along on their journeys!

One reason for the follow-ups is that I am often seeing people prenatally! We get to discuss education, communication, the early days, positioning/latch tips, signs of wellness, and more - before baby even arrives! It's a great way to head into having a baby and feeling more prepared, and then when we meet for a "follow-up" we've already established a relationship :)

The Health and Wellness Fair was a great success! We made connections with professionals in related fields and with people in the community! Such a lovely experience!

Our theme for May is "Pumping and Bottle Feeding the Breastfed Baby"

Let's talk about "Flange Sizing"

Pumping should not hurt.

Many parents are not using the right sized flanges, which leads to pain/discomfort and lower output. More often than not, I am sizing people down. Only the nipple should be moving in and out of the pump tunnel. I've included a helpful graphic below!
